O Devo ke Dev Mahadev

A still from Devo Ke Dev Mahadev (TV series on Star Bharat)

It’s worse, right now. It’s saddened to see the cry right now. All over India. News are coming about the failure of health infrastructure. Second wave of the pandemic has hit us very hard, in ways that we never expected. People are facing immense difficulties, I am not capable enough to write it all out here, that’s level of sadness is covering all over the people. Maybe none can understand or feel it except the ones who are going through it first hand.

Feeling so helpless to be knowing the suffering of people around, and not being able to help anyone. Seeing what many people are going through in the hospitals, the dead bodies all around burning up in the cremation grounds with no discrimination based on religion. All are getting the same treatment. No death rituals. Relatives waiting outside don’t even know what’s happening with their loved ones in those buildings. They can only pray for the patients to not be dead. To be alive, to be given another chance to live. But chance for what? Wearing a mask properly from now on, and following precautions strictly. I do not know what they are going through.

People on the hospital beds. Gasping for their breathes, suffering from the sore throats, all alone, feeling so lonely in their fight to this disease. Not to forget the never ending body ache, and the rising temperature of the body. Weakness. Hopelessness. Having appointment with the Reapers, chit-chatting with their Yamduts while they wait for their oxygen tanks to come to save them. It must be horrifying. Fear of death. Loss of happiness. Revisiting their whole life while trying to survive. Trying to find that one moment which lead them to this bed. No source of light in this tiring time. Weakening their fight defense against the virus.

Not to forget the ones waiting outside the hospitals, just to get a bed. A bed full of hope for them. A bed which could save their lives. They have to wait for hours and hours in the scorching heat. Many have died on the way. It’s worse. A crime against humanity or our failures. Who will save us or are we at the mercy of the virus to live and to let us live?

Doctors are working tirelessly to help every life they could. Without much rest. Many doctors have lost their lives. Many healthcare staff has lost their life. Maybe if/when this is over, we should have a day dedicated to all those people who fought at the front-line to save all of us. A day of silence for those who lost their lives fighting the virus.

We are breaking every record in virus cases each day, and the death which has been recorded. Also add the deaths which are removed from the records to keep the records low. We all have an idea that it’s very much high. We all are paying the cost.

People who lost their loved ones to the virus. For them, this live will not be the same anymore. Even if the country wins over the virus and celebrates the winning. Maybe there will not be any celebrations for them. It will be a mourning phase. And celebrating the wining over the loss of our very own humans, is not humanity. Maybe we should all be mourning for all the lives lost due to the virus. To help the people who lost their loved ones. Holding their hands and helping them to cope up with the loss.

Heart wrenching image of a son dying at the foot of his mother in e-rickshaw. I can’t even try to express the depths and different kinds of emotions she would have gone through. Even thinking about it, is so saddening. A mother who would anything to save her children. She was shown helpless in that picture. Taking his son body back to her home, and her son who couldn’t get proper treatment at the hospital. Who’s fault was that? I do not know. We lost a life. A mother lost her son. How much effort she would had done to get him to the hospital at the earliest? How much does she suffered to see her son dying at her foot? Not be able to do anything to save him. It must have broken her heart, seeing the life that she brought into this world, been taken away. I know these words cannot do justice to the suffering she must have been through. It’s a failure of humanity.

It’s our country’s failure. When the country is going through the worst times, and our country’s leader is busy doing rallies. It’s our failure to elect this person who couldn’t hear the cry of his country. He would have been a much better leader if he would be with the ones who are suffering right now. If he would be coming up on TV to give hopes to the country instead of giving speeches on rallies. That means nothing now. He lost credibility that he gained after his efforts. It shouldn’t be forgotten. Many people have died, only because of bad healthcare infrastructure which could be improved after learning from last year. Because of overlooking of the situation like before. Ignoring. Is our country’s leader responsible only? I do not think so. We all are. We never raised our voice to have best of the facilities at our finger tips and at a cheaper rates. Maybe all of us would learn from this, and wouldn’t become careless again after it gets over. I hope we will remember to prioritize to have best infrastructure in our country for everything.

There are essential drugs and oxygen tanks being sold in black market. I do not know what those people will get by having this extra money. Doesn’t people have left any humanity in them? How could they do it? Aren’t they afraid of what karma will do to them? Don’t they have empathy? At least, to be honest in these tough times. This is not the time to make profits. It’s inhuman. It makes my heart cry to see that we have achieved nothing when we have these kind of people living in the world.

There are many people helping others to get these drugs and oxygen tanks at minimal prices. May god bless them all. As they say, a person’s true nature comes out when the person faces adversity. Many have proven us that humanity is still alive. People on social media have come together to spread the awareness of all the resources to fight the virus.

We are in a crisis. I do not know if I would be alive from this crisis or not, or anyone of my family or friends or colleagues. I do not know. I wish everyone should pass the crisis and being alive at the end of the day.

There are so many wounds that our country has got right now, but still fighting. I hope we will win this, and will get over the adverse effect of it sooner than expected. Because it effects every one of us. Long Live Bharat.

I wish I would have some powers to save everyone in the world from this virus. I do not have. Even having the magical wand, maybe it would be of some help as well.

These are the trying times and the humans should rise above their limitations to perform much better than the virus. I think only then we would be able to fight this faster than we think.

O my lord Shiva! please grant the powers to every human to fight the virus, and win over it. I bow down to you. I pray to you.

Please shower your grace, O Shiva, irrespective of the person beliefs.

May everyone get the taste of being a Mritunjay with your grace.

O Shiva! I pray to you. Please make everyone receptive to your grace.

O my lord Shiva, shower your grace.
